So lets have someone they won't even talk to try to fix the problem, right?

Don't be so naive. I'm not sexist - the world is.

EDIT: The PMS thing was said in jest.

You don't find this statment sexist in the least bit. Funny.

          Hillary

Who do you WANT to win the election?
          OBAMA!

Distinct difference if the poll was worded as intended.

This is an epic election. I really can't wait to see who wins. But I really don't know which is stronger in this country...racism or sexism. I just hope people vote for the right reasons.

Trying to make me sound like a misogynist - cool.

I find nothing wrong in saying that a majority of women are more concerned with health care, education and the environment in modern day politics. There is nothing sexist about this statement at all. It's just the truth.

                    Re: Hillary Clinton or Obama?

As a liberal, and a person with a freaking brain, this election makes me cringe.

Hillary has voted with with George Bush on just about every major issue put forth during her tenure in Congress. She touts her experience when the only real experience she had was the colossal failure of her health care plan. Also, she makes everyone to the right of the fence rally behind whoever the conservatives will put forth. She'll make 51% of the country vote Not Hillary in '08.

Obama doesn't know anyone or anything. No, really. He can have all the good intentions in the world but in the end he doesn't know what he's talking about. Funny story - when I was on the executive board for the college dems back when I was in college at Northwestern, one of the speakers we had was James Carville (ragin' cajun anybody?). This event was in 2005 right after Obama was elected into office and since NU is in Illinois, and Obama was going to speak for the senior class at graduation, he was a hot issue. I asked Mr. Carville if he thought that Senator Obama was a viable presidential candidate for '08. He laughed his ass off.

I was really rooting for John Edwards (another guy we got to speak at NU, this time early in 2006). But in the end he didn't have the star power of these two. Honestly, the only person left in this race that would be any sort of improvement for this country would be Ron Paul, even if I disagree with some of his libertarian views on education, health care, and the environment. I would say McCain would at least be an improvement, but the guy is 71 years old. Who knows if he'll even live out his term in office, much less a second. That and he really doesn't seem to take a definitive stance on any issue, and he really doesn't know jack about the economy even though he's gotten really good at fooling the public into thinking he does.

I can't imagine who I'm going to vote for come November. Ugh.

The funniest thing about this thread is that it assumes the Democrats are going to win.

Just saying. There's an entire other political party they have to beat, guys.

If McCain gets elected, I wouldn't be surprised if he died in office at all. Good point, Chaz.

Albeit, he is the last Republican candidate I would vote for anyways.

Voted for Romney in the primary here in California. :\

I don't find it misogynistic as much as what I would expect a group of white republican males discussing politics would casually spew in jest - oh wait. Anyway, there is a very very large difference in the above statement and your original statment, and unfortunately it rubbed me the wrong way.

I have a feeling this is just going to go in circles. I withdraw from the argument that I chose to start.

tonight is the night that barack obama won the presidency

he won states and he won delegates, he probably won gore/edwards/richardson, and it's quite possible that he could sweep all 10 states between now and 3/4

I'm not voting for someone that's going to take money out of my pocket. I'm poor enough as it is. Liberal economy practices frighten me to an extreme.
