Damn, that sucks since you can't play in the orchestra. Do they have a substitute for you?

Anyways, I once fractured my wrist while my phys ed teacher threw a huge ball and we were forced to catch it. Apparently it broke for a second then snapped itself back in place. We stopped playing that game after. It sucks since I couldn't play for my soccer team, especially that I'm the only goalkeeper there.

      No, there is no substitute.

And that's wierd! It broke then went back into place? That hurts!

Yeah, that's what my doctor said after my X-ray. I didn't even know I fractured it until the next day when it was all swollen. I had to ride my bike home one-handed, and I was young(er) and almost didn't know how properly.

          That's dangerous.

The same with mine: I didn't even know anything was serious when it happened. The nurse said, "A lot of kids freak out, like 'I broke a bone!' when there is hardly anything wrong with them. Now, we can hardly get you to complain!" (That was when they were putting pressure on different parts of my wrist to see where it hurts.)

I have been lucky, I have yet to break any bones in my body, I've even been hit by two cars in my life and still came out of those accidents with only minor scratches.

well, my weirdest story of breaking anything is when I broke my middle finger slapping a guy.

I say don't strain it, get better and maybe talk to your teacher about the CD/concert.

This happened to me. I was trying to olley a curb at the bottom of a huge hill and at I hit a small pot hole. I went flying and landed on my extended arm. I could feel my bone bend and it was the 3rd most painful thing that has ever happened to me. Awesome thing was the pain didn't kick in till I was at home so I looked bad ass in front of my friends.

Dang man... real sorry to hear that. I assume you hurt your left arm? If you did, nothing much you can do. If it is the right hand, can't you still pluck and/or hold the bow?

I sprained my wrist real bad and I had to play my sax in a jazz concert. Needless to say, my improv kinda sucked because my finger dexterity wasn't 100%. But still I could play a little

Edit: Wow, that makes me feel better. That's kind of stupid though... Why did you jump off a 12-stair? Skateboarding?

Lol, I broke both the bones in my left arm playing hide and seek once.

I was sliding into the base (which was a metal pole) and I put just the right amount of pressure on my arm.

                          Recovery was fun...

When i was like in third grade (lol) i got my arm caught in one of those climbing things on the playground and then i fell.
a REALLY loud snap happened and they took me to the nurse.
                            it hurt really bad.

I broke both my wrists in one season from snowboarding. After my first wrist healed I immediately got back on the slopes. I guess I was too afraid to fall on the recently healed one, so I fell on the good one and broke that one too. I'm an idiot.

Anyway, I'm really sorry about your concert and I hope your arm heals quickly.
