Between the ages of 4-12 I've been gaming hardcore. Yes I was an addict but since then I game casually with the odd time where I will spend a day inside. Over the winter break I got an x-box 360. I have been playing that more than my usual gaming habits entail but I'm still going outside and hanging out with friends. I have WoW which I do 2 heroics a week and 1 Kara run per month (22 hours for an entire month). With that my total gaming per month is about 30-40 hours. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week. Turns out according to my parents "I am a gaming ADDICT".
Today since my dad got home I have been bombarded with "YOU ARE A GAMING ADDICT". When he gets home he looks at me alarmingly and hands me a sheet of paper. "How do you tell if YOUR child is a gaming addict"
He managed to bend each symptom to fit with me. Neglect personal Hygiene, I need a new toothbrush because mine "has it's bristles worn out". Lying about computer or video game use: I go over to my friends house to play games without informing my parents I am playing games at their house.
I have no idea what to do...they even take commercials with 9 year olds in a sonta talking about pace makers and kids in motorized chairs unable to make it to dances due to a triple bypass literally. For the love of god somebody help me.

Does your child:
- Own his own computer
- Neglect Personal Hygiene
- Fantasy life on-line replaces emotional life with a partner
- Can't control computer or video game use
- May incur large phone or credit bills for on-line services
- Experiences video game: Withdrawal, anger, or depression when not on the computer or involved with their video game
- Lying about computer or video game use
- Overweight
The list goes ooooonnnnn
