Um, $46? Thats freaking cheap. And its a good card. Probably the most i'll do is play Halo and crap.

no way in hell halo will run on that. Halo won't run well on anything less than a GeForce FX 5900 or better or a Radeon 9600 XT or better.

Dude, tny, I know it's cool to say 'Holy crap I have a 3.2 w/ HT, fastest comp on the market!' but here's the thing- first off, I heard they're coming out with a 4.0 in the next six months, and when that happens the price of the 3.0s are going to drop dramatically. Second, after around 2.6, the difference between the next level is not worth your money. You'll pay about $500 extra to upgrade from a 2.66 to a 3.0 with HT, but for the speed upgrade you get, it's not worth your money. If you want to go for that state of the art feeling then by all means do so, just know you're blowing cash.

Oh, and as long as you're going for the big bucks, score yourself an ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 9800 XT 256 MB or a Nvidia GeForce 4 5950 Ultra 256. They both will set you back around $400 retail.

what's the point of playing halo on the PC without the graphical beauty. Without the bumpmapping and pixelshaders, halo is just another unreal II.

Personally, I want to know why it took that idiot CEO of Bungie 2 freakin' years to realize 'Hey, we just made the best selling game on Xbox, maybe we should port it, DERR.' Plus they ported it wrong...in two years they added a new weapon and a vehicle, woohoo. No graphical changes whatsoever, besides the ability to up your resolution. And online multiplayer sucks...it's amazingly laggy, making it impossible to snipe. And not just with the sniper either, try killing someone with a pistol sometime while jumping around and they're strafing, it ain't fun. It was even laggy on my friend's LAN. It could have ruled but...it kind of sucks.
