Actually, that depends on the state you live in.
Where I'm at, you can only shoot if they're threatening to kill or seriously harm someone. >.>

Well, with intruders in his home and him not knowing if they are armed or not I'm almost positive it would be legal if he shot them.

What if he has a gun though. You have to kill them. I wouldn't be taking any chances with my life if I didn't know if they were armed or not.

Well, of course, if they're armed, you do anything you possibly can to protect yourself and anyone else. If that means taking their life, then so be it.

But I was saying like.... if you don't know if they're armed... I'd still basically go ahead and believe they were armed just to give myself a better shot at living.
