i downloaded it, and it won't show the addons selection or anything. the only thing i see is the dude in the corner.

It's mainly because firefox is actually set to work with dial up as default.

You can do the same thing manually, it's just a bit more technical.

So I'm going to be the first to speak out on this, am I?

To quote a reviewer who I agree with:

Making servers slow down by keeping connections open? I'd recommend that you should be a more responsible Netizen and just say no.

Pipelining can drastically drain the bandwidth of a server and is consdiered quite rude. Think of having multiple clones of yourself standing in line for a hotdog, while the other people join in behind your clones. You're going to get most of the hotdogs and the vendor is going to run out of hotdogs.

Case in point, it's rude.
