because those are the only benefits of an ass version of aim that i can think of and i'd probably uninstall it after it got boring

I most have a really old version rofl, AIM isnt a pain to use at all.

I also have skype and it's pretty good, 'cept it'll auto sign on all the time

When AIM doesn't work, or gets boring, I use this other messenger called YellingReallyLoud. YRL lets me instantly contact anyone, so long as I yell loud enough.

I never liked AIM. Ever. Unsure as to why...

I use MSN now, though. No problems. As two other people have stated, go for Trillian.

Check the date on threads before posting.

Aside from that, I'm fine with AIM, I use it strictly to talk, I could care less about features as long as I can read what they say, and they can read what I say.

Aim is pretty basic. I've never had a problem with it. Google talk is probably the most basic though. Just no one uses these other things.

I use to use AIM 5.9 I finally decided to upgrade it to a 6.0 lol (Even though there are more updated versions of it) but I don't really see nothing wrong with it.
