I've got carpal tunnel in my right arm, was diagnosed with bipolar about a year ago, and they had found cancer in my right arm, which hopefully with a couple of blasts of kemo, It will diminish. So, some of my hair will fall out, which I'm not looking forward too, and it's going to be quite painful.

    Wellllll, on top of that.
Dad got sent to Iraq, which he is proud to be fighting in btw, but mom had a breakdown not too long ago.

My grades are dropping, kind of. They are borderline a-b crap.

Staying positive is hard for me, but I'm glad you guys can and you should.

[ Ironic how it was in the arm though]
Look on the bright side of things, don't focus on the depressing things, that won't help at all. You have to stay strong for the people around you, set an example, you know? Yeah, I'm sixteen, but I can't drive, I haven't learned or anything.. and I don't plan on doing so. Besides, I think I might have found a place to work at today (while I went out to walk, exercise, whatever) and it's in the little plaza about less than half a mile from my house. Totally sweet.

I was diagnosed with bipolar-like symptoms in seventh grade.. it's not that bad, you just need to control yourself.. at least for the people you care about. And that's terrible! I hope you're okay.. that really blows.. Cancer.. and yeah..

I think fighting for your country is amazing. I want to be in the Marines when I get older. >>; However.. I think you should stay positive, focus on good things.. and focus in school, don't worry too much about other things. You should also be there for your mom, really. It's he least you could do, I think.

Yeah, so far I have been there for my mom, I think I made things better for her.

Bi-polar sucks, but I have medication to slow down the cycles.

True, I should look to the bright side of things, thanks for saying.

My exgirlfriend (now my bestfriend) is bipolar and suffers/suffered from depression.

Im sure she doesnt want too much of her business out on the net, but when she was 12, she was outside playing in her yard with her older sister. Her mom was on the porch reading a magazine drinking lemonade. Her dad was working on the underside of his car. The jack slipped and crushed her dads lungs. He lived for about 3 minutes.. or until he couldnt breathe any longer.

The whole family watched their husband/dad die right in front of their eyes.

What am I trying to get at? Depression and being bi-polar are just things to over come in your life. Theres medication for both of them, but really the only thing that can fix your problems is your own self. Motivation and taking the initiative to stay positive.

To everyone who is posting encouraging posts, thanks . It shows how kind many of the members are here. You guys really can be nice, instead of assholes, eh?

I'm pretty sure that a lot of people on FFR are really kind, even though they don't show it much on the forums..

And that's terrible.. to see someone die in front of them. I was in a similar situation.. when I was.. twelve? I also witnessed a terrible accident last year when I went to the mall; happened in the parking lot. I guess seeing just.. such gruesome things changes a person.

It also makes me sad to see people.. in terrible situations, and they don't want help! T_T

Sh* that almost made me cry, I couldn't imagine seeing my own father just... leave like that.

Tell her I'm sorry for her loss, if you can at all.

The thing that really kind of F'd up my mind [ sorry for attempting to use language, I'm a tad mad at the moment] but it was when I saw Final Destination, all 3.

They really screwed me up, because I had never seen so much blood or violence like that before in my life, and then I saw a few videos of killings in Iraq, what the terrorists did to the prisoners, it really screwed me over..

I'm not the same crazy argumentative person so much anymore. I used to be a complete ass back then.

                Shock images? Yeah.

I don't mind movies that are obviously fake, but I've looked at tons of shock images in the past, some of them make me absolutely sick, because they're real. :/ Those definitely change a person, and it makes me appreciate my life more, makes me appreciate living here too.

Oh, and to the person who said he can't be with his girlfriend but he gets to hug her every day or whatever... you should really cherish that. I wish every day to be able to do that with my boyfriend, but he doesn't live here. You don't understand how lucky you are. However, he is the thing that makes me happiest in my life right now. I thank the god I don't believe in every day for him.

                    Re: Stay Positive

like most of you many things in life make you wanna just drop down and give up, like me i was able to stay positive when my mom had passed away. she was having headaches often, and the docters would just give her medication, then after about a month of the medication she just passed, right on our couch sleeping with my little sister.

you think after something like that it's hard enough to stay positive. most of the time thats all i can think about is like what happened, and why did it happen. it's always good to have friends there to confort you, make you feel happy.

hope things start to go better for you nyokou.

                      Re: Stay Positive

I agree with Jurs.. some people are in long distance relationships, there are also wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands.. who have lovers who are over fighting in the war. You're very, VERY lucky.

gattsta, I'm sorry about that, but it's a good thing you kept positive.. If someone important in your family dies, especially a parent, I think it's always a good thing to be there for your siblings (if you have any) younger ones, that is.

I can't imagine what I'd do if one of my parents died.. I have three younger brothers. T_T
