Wait, you missed the bus and your backpack is heavy... so it's the worst day of your life? Wow, man, you must live a pretty empty and unfulfilling life.

I'd like to see you deal with half the hardships I went through when I was a freshman, let alone what I go through now and other people go through on a daily basis.

Yeah, that sounds horrible. Absolutely terrible.

That is, until you compare it to my sister.

We ("we" meaning my mom and my sister) once weighed her backpack. I overheard them say something about 34, 35? Somewhere in the 30's. She gets 5 hours of homework everyday, has to put up with "bullies" at school, and her bus driver is always about 15 minutes late. This means a few things - in Winter, my sister has to stand in the cold longer, AND she's almost late for her first class EVERY DAY.

Hmm, yeah... I think you'll get over it.

OH! By the way! My sister is in middle school. Just thought I'd tell you.

Lol, i actually remember Middle school and Elementry. Truthfully the backpacks were heavier in those school days then in Highschool.

thanx for the sympathy lol and i dont have all my books yet so its gonna weigh heavier and also i hate bullies grrr they suck. havent been bullied yet in high school but i was all the time in middle school

the reason i missed my bus was because i was going to my locker to get my algebra book cuz i need to get it covered along with my geography book and my english book

don't bring your books home, bring the covers to school. if you have homework in the book just copy down the problems. if you have reading then tough it up or find an online resource site. almost all books have one.

I carried everything in my bag even if I didn't need it. Just for the fact that it was pretty good weight training and kept me fit haha.

I was never bullied and I never regularly had an especially heavy backpack...

"Bullies" never existed at any of my schools.

We're not allowed bookbags in school. We put them in our locker when we get there.

Freshman year wasn't too bad for myself, I was good friends with a lot of the juniors and seniors, so it worked out.

Senior year for me right now is tough. I have a full schedule all year long with 4 AP classes and 2 college classes, thrown in with the every weekend college visit and holding a job. Just hold in there, you'll be fine.

You guys need to lay off on the "Pfft that's nothing compared to MY worst day" bit. He said it was his worst day, not yours, its relative.

Did you not just read my post?

Lay off the kid. He obviously had what he considered a rough day. Yeah i know "betr post about it on ffr" etc, but I don't think that adding insult to what he considers injury is cool, and it just makes you look like an ass.

This would be directed at anyone who was suggested the same.
