    Re: any runners?

I run cross country. I'll probably end up running track this year too, because Michigan's tennis season moved to fall.

    5k PR: 17:40 (sophomore year)

I'm having some knee problems (sup MrZombie), but I'm hoping it won't end up being too much of a problem. Last year was pretty disappointing for me in terms of personal achievements, so I'm pretty motivated this year.

I'm pretty curious as to what my mile time would be like. Looks like the popular time in this thread is 4:50

Track sucked this year :/ I was a damn fast freshman but sophmore year i was just meh... 100m is an 11.39, 200m is 23.79. Long jump is like 17 feet maybe?

I can finally play tennis this year too! It rocks that michigan is doing that.

3.5 miles in 20 mins would be an excellent time if it weren't an estimate.

I'm pretty sure 5 miles a day is enough. Do you up the mileage during the peak of the season, though?

No it doesn't :< Fall is going to be a complete bitch because I have to dual-sport cross and tennis. Well, I probably won't put a lot of effort into tennis. Our team isn't going to be very good at all. I have a lot of conflicts with cross meets and tennis matches, and I'll be opting for cross in all but maybe one of them.

Now I have no excuse not to run track. The MHSAA is full of jerks :(
