haha yeah, i'm taking stats this semester... after reading aperson's other thread, I'm not looking forward to it =\
Reach: there was this bee. i hate bee\'s...i tryed to kill it, but then it didn\'t die and it started making weird noises so i was like oh (#$% hes gonna sting me. i started running but i triped over some rock and rolled down a hill into the river.
I got a damn C+ in my stats class a year ago. It was so lame. We only had tests and I just f'ed up the questions so badly. I KNEW the stuff, no problem... it was just a mess, that's all. So many things could look like they would work, but yet they won't. Then last semester I had computer simulations and the first few weeks were all stats crap. All it is is a mess of formulas for each little area, and a billion unneeded terms.
hehe, now I'm REALLY looking forward to it...........not......

This should defintely be in critical thinking. This is like, the hardest people on FFR have had to ever think. Their brains are probably mushed in their heads right now.
Yeah yeah, we've all heard these little slick ways to be like 'omgzo0rs its teh 54+4=infinity hahahaha."
aleco, sorta, but you have to realize there's an infinite number of zeroes in front of that 1, so basically that number is so small that you might as well forget that 1 is even there and just call the darn thing 0.
jimerax, like I said before, you could never ever prove that an infinitely small number is equal to zero.
makaveli, that explanation sucks
A number divided by itself can never equal anything other than 1, so you cannot say that 9/9 = .999 repeating
