    Potato bugs, I guess. Never heard a bug called a roly poly.

        I have always called em Rolu Poly or pill bug. Used to call em potato bugs until I saw what a real potato bug looks like.
        And the pea mocks me.

            roly poly is the common nickname, which i was raised using, but the true name is woodlice

                            I picked up a tree branch while cleaning the yard and like ten rolly pollys fell on my head. So I ran in circles swatting my head saying get em' off me.

                                    We call them pillbugs and roly-polys in NY, pillbugs being the more common name. We have thousands of those little critters right in my backyard.
