1/ This is CT, we make long replies because we state opinions and then support them.

2/ Your response didn't actually add anything to the discussion at all, and thus shoudln't have been made in CT, if anywhere.

3/ The word you're looking for is 'nauseated' The word 'nauseous' means 'having the quality of making other things nauseated.'

Concerning the rest, well, I can't comment on your mum or what she thinks you do or don't do. We don't live in your house, we don't see what you do. We don't know if she has a point or if you do.

Just try to reason with her, that's all you can do. Talk to her about it, explain this to her in an adult manner and try to show her that you are feeling a bit undervalued and want to know how you both can come to an agreement.

Just be sure not to come off as sarcastic or annoyed or anything.

If you have OCD, ok. But this just irritates me. OCD isnt about clean anything. Most of the people who have OCD and wash their hands prolly dont even give a damn about how clean their hands are (Based on experience I guess.)..

I know this is off topic but its just annoys me seeing people say "Its an OCD." when its not. Just because you are clean doesnt mean its OCD. And you cant have one part of OCD and not the rest unless your OCD is really REALLY mild.

Well, unless it is an actual disorder that you have (And they do document such things) using the term is just needless hyperbole.

Though, as every person on earth knows, hyperbole is the sigle greatest concept in the history of creation.

Wow, way to rant about a personal pet peeve and go off topic.

Anyway, its always best to try talking about things and expressing your feelings towards it. If you are lucky enough your mom will understand and stop, but generally that isnt the nature of our parents.

Sir Thomas and flcliscool: quit spamming up CT.

P.S. moved, as this is very much a CC topic.

                  Re: Parental Question

Sounds a lot like my mom. I think mothers have this genetic gene incoded in their DNA called "BiatchMode" or maybe is menapause (did i spell that right) or something. I dont live with my mom anymore "praise the lord, id have hung myself" But she used to bitch at me for **** like that. She went camping one time, and wanted me to move her bed out of her room for her while she was gone. ( we were swicthing bedrooms ) Well little miss mom, decided to lock her door, so i had no way in. She was totally pissed that i didnt move it. Her response was "Well you should have asked me for the key before i left"

WTF?!?!?! If you tell me u want something moved from your bedroom, isnt it smart to leave your door open so i dont HAVE to ask for you key..ah.. anyways, im done. have fun

                    Re: Parental Question

So, I attempted to talk to my mom like an adult.. I was calm, worked out what I was going to say before, and made sure I had everything nice and planned out. Talked to her. She basically told me the same **** "You don't care, you never respected me, you don't do anything, blah blah, I didn't listen to you, blah blah blah" so, I just kinda got up and walked to my room.

So, now she disconnected my phone lol

Thats parents for ya. Really, there is nothing you can do about it because the more you lash out and tell them they are being a idiots the deeper you will dig yourself in.

                        It's hyperbole, to be sure.

I've got OCD, and it's very, very different than the typical description, and it entails much more. A simple obsession does not mean that one has OCD.

I know, I was just trying to explain how paranoid I am about bathroom cleanliness, I won't use the term OCD anymore since so many get pretty pissed about it, heh
