There is a smoking ban where I live. I don't know much about it, it's either the whole state of Colorado, or just the city of Denver. Smoking is banned except for in casinos, outside, and in designated areas (like the box rooms in airports).
I don't think much about it since I'm not old enough to, and don't smoke, but it's probably healthier for us all now. So I'm definately for it.

I'm happy about it. For 9 months I worked in bars and clubs and hated the smoke. Everytime I went out it sucked to be in either due to smoke. So when they finally imposed the smoking ban it couldn't have came any sooner for me.
I really have noticed the difference, much cleaner and nicer to go into a bar for a drink. More fun to do a pub crawl and then come home, wake up, and not have your clothes smelling of ****.
I approve of it. Though I'm bias as a non-smoker.Comment

Smoking is banned in all public places here, and even 500 metres from the entrance to any public place, though nobody cares about that. I'm assuming that this UK smoking ban is a ban in public places such as hospitals , libraries, and areas in front of them, correct? If so, I'm totally for it. However, in the U.S. some places have banned smoking even in bars. I'm not a smoker and never will be, but hecks, bars are made for two things: A. Smoking and B. Drinking.
