Guido, why do you hate Trillian? I recall once giving it a shot and hating it too, but I completely forgot why and now I have no reasons to defend myself when people tell me to use it.

I had similar issues with Gaim. I think the biggest problem with that was that it screwed up font sizes.

I'm picky about details I'm used to -.- so I still use AIM 5.9 with ad-remover and auto-logger.

There is only thing I can think of that I hate about the new AIM. Whenever you copy/paste something into your AIM box, YOU ARE STUCK WITH THAT FONT AND COLOR. The only way to get rid of it is to copy and paste something in your font and then enter it, thus sending a random sentence.

xfire is the best IM chat service. It's so easy, computer game friendly, has so many more features than AIM, MSN, or YIM. It's so freakin cool!!!

Trillian has by far the best logging I have seen. But I dislike the interface, too. But the buddy lists only merge if all the contacts are under the same group. You can sort by service, too.

I used to use GAIM but the newer version ran SO slow, and I have no idea why. I loved the on-the-fly spell checker.

Yeah i do use deadaim with logging but they stopped updating it ages ago so i can't use the newer versions of aim with it. The new AIM's logging system is pretty terrible so i reverted back to my old. And the fact i wanted to keep my existing logs. I suppose theres not much i'm missing though.
