Personally, I use AIM. I'm in no way sure that it is the best, but it is the most popular. To me, a crappy IM service with lots of people is a lot better than an amazing IM service with little to no people.

Just in the USA. I like MSN the best. It has some cool features and most people use it outside the USA. I have people on my list from the UK, Turkey, Spain, Columbia, and Mexico. I would say MSN is by far the most popular world wide, but everyone from my school uses AIM, but I hate it. :/Comment

I hate hate hate MSN. I've used AIM for ever, MSN for three or four years, and yahoo for about two. Just because some of my friends only use MSN or yahoo and I like AIM better. But AIM is the most popular in the US, so there's no reason not to use it.Comment

I'm on aim express right now, because I am at my dad's house, and it completely sucks. Any time someone IM's you, it pops up, making you type whatever you typing into that AIM box. It gets SUPER annoying when trying to type big long posts.Comment

I use trillian to bypass all the different clients and bundle them all into the same program. Trillian Astra has amazing features, but the skins as of now are too ugly.Comment

I use AIM only because everybody else has AIM; that's how I talk to people. I had Yahoo! for a while, but whenever I signed on, I realized that I had nobody in my list to talk to.

I use Gaim, which is nice and light, for AIM mostly. The release I have is buggy as heck with MSN, so I have MSN messenger for the few times I use MSN. But I'm mostly an AIM person.Comment
