nationality = place of birth
ethnicity = heritage

Ok. I know if you were "born in America" , then your're American. But I mean your Nationality beyond that.
[i.e] As in where you parents, grandparents, and great grandparents are from. (etc.)
It's the backbone that makes you WHO you are. Just wondering and I thought it would be an interesting topic.
Trying to get to know people in the FFR world.

I'm pretty sure parts of my dad's family hail from parts of Canada, and I think if you go a bit farther back that my mom's family comes from various parts of Europe.

As for recent generations, as far as I know we're American as far back as at least my great-grandparents.

I am Polish, I think some German, I'm a lot of nationalities mixed.

But I thought it was funny that I was German and Polish.

Haha, when Germany invaded Poland some Nazi raped your ancestor and that is how you came to be.

I can understand where the suicidal notion can come from.
