Psycho, his mobo will only accept PC2100

The link I provided is the best you can get at $44. 512mb. I strongly reccommend it.

    Heres a 200gb Hard drive for $65 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144129

7200 RPM IDE cable. Compatible and efficient.

        Yes.

The hard drive I linked in my last post I recommend as well.

Western Digital (the brand tps gave a link for the hard drive) is very good

I would go RAM first then a hard drive, unless your hard drive is full.

              Re: Computer Help

              So recapping,
              1) RAM
              2) Hard Drive

              Total = ~$110.

              Thanks guys. =D

                Yep Pichu,

RAM is very easy to install, it won't fit if you're putting it in wrong.

The hard drive you might just want to "plug in" instead of moving everything on your current drive over. It'll make everything easier.

Well, the nForce 4 motherboard is always nice to have. It depends if you want Nvidia or ATI and if you choose Nvidia then it depends on whether you want SLI or not. Still it's a good motherboard to have.

Personally, I wouldn't suggest ASUS, but the majority of motherboards there are ASUS. Water cooling will do you fine as well. Also I am not concerning your budget. This is only what I suggest.

                    LOL

Complete motherboard + cpu + hard drive + RAM + water cooling + video card = cheaper just to buy a whole new computer, not to mention it might be a bit over Picu's head (no offense there Picu)...

I think my budget will only allow for about $100. Though, what exactly is a motherboard? And water cooling?

If your new components don't seem to work, or seem really laggy, you might need to get a new power supply, i think i need one for my new vid card =/

No, I'm pretty sure my power supply is functional.

Well, a motherboard is basically what makes your computer a computer. Without a motherboard you don't have a computer. Water cooling is a more advanced form of cooling. Right now you probably have air cooling which is a fan. Water cooling uses tubes to allow liquid to absorb the heat and then fan it out. Look up on it for more information.

That should work out alright. With the RAM, just stick it in the slot next to the other RAM. With the hard drive, the only thing you might have to do besides plugging it in is adjust the jumpers (if you plan on using your new hard drive and old one together).

If you use both drives, there should be a picture on the actual hard drive showing where the jumper go (they are little plastic things that go over pins). You want the new drive set to either slave or wire select.
