Detect and fix viruses, worms, spyware, and other malicious threats for free.

After you run that scan, download hijackthis, and post your log over at geekstogo.com. They helped me get rid of my zlob worm as well as a multitude of spyware. After that, go find SpywareBlaster and install it to prevent any further installations of malicious software.

No No. A toolbar activity, means you have a toolbar that is installed into your computer, and it's trying to either spread, or make pop ups.

Fido get the free ad-aware and run it. I am almost sure those toolbars are still there. It is an easy to use program.

Then I would remove norton, it is absolute **** and slows down your computer. Avast is probably one of the best free antivirus, I would intsall that after removing norton. For avast you have to register it though, otherwise its a 60 day trial (yes, registration is free)

IBM employees are lucky to get the Corporate Edition for them and their families = D. It slows down, but basically all scans - except the free Ad-Aware - lag up your computer. It should be expected that scans slow down your computer.

It caught stuff when I ran it, and not just the Corporate Version.

What are you doing on your computer to get such malicious viruses?

Uh... Norton is the best at catching stuff in its scans. What have you been reading?

Norton is the easy market leader among antivirus software, but the company has a historically bad reputation for system drag, which can slow your computer to a crawl.
