I got my eyebrow pierced yesterday and my entire family has stopped talking to me. The only thing they have to say to me is how disappointed they are in me and how they can't even look at me, how I destroyed my entire face, and how nobody is going to take me seriously now. Etc. Etc. They are so dramatic. I told them I was going to get it done months ago and they ignored me. Blah.
Pierced eyebrow. Big trouble.

Re: Pierced eyebrow. Big trouble.
Have fun watching it pull itself out of your skin within the next year.
At least you didn't pierce your tooth. Or the tiny flap of skin connecting your upper lip to your gums. -

Tell them it wasn't the only thing you got pierced and then slowly look down at your pants the next time they say something dumb like that.Originally posted by SynthlightEveryone uses quotes from Synthlight in their signature. So I'm making this one up to fit in.

Re: Pierced eyebrow. Big trouble.
Just take it out. I mean, it's not like it's permanent.
If you want it forever, leave it. It's your body. And if your family
doesn't like it, just put a band-aid over it. If not, just take it out.
Who cares if it closes? Just pierce it back when you get your own place.
It is not that complicated.Comment

Re: Pierced eyebrow. Big trouble.
LOL. I know that it is a temporary piercing which is another reason I don't think it should be that big of a deal. Once my body starts naturally pushing it out I will take it out and the entire ordeal will be over. I tried explaining this to my family, but they wouldn't listen. If they didn't care I would be pierced a lot more...oh well. The weight of what I say depends on how you feel.Comment

Re: Pierced eyebrow. Big trouble.
Besides, you're 18 (or at least claim to be). What do they have to say against someone who has every right to do a simple piercing.
Now what you should do is also pierce your nose, and get a chain from your eyebrow to the nose piercing. That'll at least give them a reason to look at you funny.

Pierce your anus... Your parents can't see it, but at least you got something pierced.

Re: Pierced eyebrow. Big trouble.
I don't know why anyones family would be revolted upon an eyebrow piercing. heck, I had one when I was 13. People ****ed around with it and touched it and yanked on it and it got infected and I had to take it out. If your parents are that immature about your appearance, maybe just do it to rebel because they cannot control your decisions nor tell you what to do. You are the only one to decide things for yourself, it's your body, it's your life. You're eighteen. You should be able to get a tattoo of "**** you, mom" on your ass and not give a **** of what your parents say.
But if you don't want a tattoo saying that, then don't get one. If you don't like the piercing after all, take it out. -shrug- By the way, if you take care of it, it'll be fine. No rejection. That usually happens to piercings on the back of your neck or on your arm with a bar where there's a lot of pressure on the skin. Usually with a ring there's hardly and pressure since it's circular and not pushing upwards like a bar. And the barbells are curved anyways. That's cool Mario, but how come whenever you eat mushrooms, everything gets bigger but your dick?
