That's something else we need to change. If we can't change the way others act, everyone else needs to step up and try their best to improve. I am guilty. I yell at newer members because I lose patience. However, if we still don't treat other members with respect, what right do regulars have over the newer users to be hypocritical? I mean, perfect example is here with Mamimi. He/she is terrified of the forums and for what reason? I just think the ENTIRE forum needs to change, not just the newer users because they are directly related to the problem. Everyone is related to the decrease in quality of the forum, whether or not it is indirect or direct is irrelevant.

I've had bad experiences with the IndyDDR forums. For an entirely different reason: my age. Which isn't accessable here so i'm hoping this time around will turn out differently however, I still see how people disagreements, even difference in point of view/opinion makes them especially hostile.

How I'll be dealt with by some master of words 20 year old who's been here forever and has a lot of respect topped with the fact that I'm a noob, well, it's enough to keep me pretty much quiet.

We treat newbs surprisingly nice as long as they read the rules and figure out how to post correctly.

If a smart newb comes along, they are usually accepted right away, sometimes even commended.

Hi!

I tend not to read the rules of a forum i'm new to anymore. I observe for the most part, and get the idea of how things work in different areas of the forums. And besides, each area is pretty self-descriptive of what goes where. But then again, not everyone is as intelligent as I.

I'm gifted, what can I say?

I think we should have most sub forums a post count reqirement before there allowed to post in them (lurking is allowed). Mabey even a lurking requirement wher you have to lurk for X amount of hours...that would have saved me a Garbage Bin Ban. Have larger requirements for more mature sub forums like from Newbie Forum to somthing less newbie until they are slowly intigrated into this forums...style.
