Well I missed a few spots while sunscreening and so the backs of my arms and a spot on my back is sunburned. Other than that, it was a great day at the beach. Here is my sister's shell heart and my water art tree.
And now here is where the shovels I talked about came in handy. I took pictures of the hole a throughout its progression, using our basic three tier system. You dig with the shovel, and when you can't dig any further, you dig a step to stand on so you can dig more on the main area. When that is down, you dig on the step, and when that has gone down enough, you can dig a third step to be able to dig lower on the second step, to dig lower on the main hole. You could actually use more steps if you wanted, but with a 4.5 foot hole, 3 is all you need. If we were going for another 8 foot hole, we would use a 4 or 5 tier system.
After the first hole picture, you can see that the other two pictures are how much we widened the main area.
Got back from vacation yesterday at Convict Lake (CA). It was fun. The photo ops were great, and since I am taking classes in photography, I think they will come out nice. I took 5 rolls of film.
I hope to be back more, cause things just improved for me somewhat, but who knows for sure? Who cares either? Ok, now I'm just blabbering on.
