President Bush started the war with Iraq, and now he's gonna make sure people keep on getting fatter and fatter by eliminating things that are athletic and can "hurt" people. I think Bush also paid some of the schools as an "influence".

I hate how the majority of Americans are so trigger-happy to sue. They'll sue for anything these days and somehow manage to win.

Don't blame the people who sue, blame the people in the system who actually make the person suing win the case. If I had the opportunity to sue a corporation for millions and the chances I'd win the case were pretty big, I'd go for it. I mean, why wouldn't I? It's free money!

Also, I lol at the people blaming Bush for this stuff and being serious. He's a ****ty president, but it doesn't mean he's the cause of everything ****ty that goes on in this country.

I defintely agree with this since video games defintely don't cause god friken brainwashing violence is ok crap. Alot of people play them and how much instances of this are there? Not many. Stupid ****ing parents need to realize this .

As for my middle school, they encourage dodgeball and all of that stuff.

Not because it builds character.

No one, not even the teachers and our new principal knows why we even do dodgeball.

People are so apathetic towards voting that horrendously idiotic people get elected as judges and they actually pass this kind of ****.

We need a way to nerf the judicial system because it's overpowered. It's like shamans.

you know, this is called "the people's republic", yet i haven't seen the PEOPLE have a say in any government matter. it's not the representatives, it's the actual people that need to have a say in this government

for those that don't know, Dubya passed a law saying that you could go to jail if you anonymously flame someone. the PEOPLE of the REPUBLIC didn't get a say in the matter, and the most retarded amendment to the Constitution came to place the previous year

my 2 cents as an older bastard:

Ever since the end of the 60's, parents in the West seem to think that children are 2 legged monsters that are incapable of managing themselves in ANY way.

Ever since kids started shooting each other in schools(US) and burning cites(France), I think Westernized thought on raising children has involves thinking children are delicate and fragile and should be handled carefully so as not cause some kind of imagined trauma.

In short .. it seems the general idea is that children today in the west need are to be protected from themselves and treated as nearly broken human beings that are not yet prepared to face the consequences of the world around them.

See thats the thing, I remember coporeal punishment. In fact was on the receiving end in many instances.

I also remember fat rubberbands and paperclips,wedgies, frogging, clothes-lining red rover, freshmen hazing, punch bug and hot hands .. bah .. outlawing dodgeball?

So yes .. at least as far as the US is concerned the baby-boomers now feel that you kids should all get together and hug and everything will be just fine. If you love peace, you can avoid many of those harsh consequences in life. Sure its part of the sue-happy culture as well .. but thats only part of it I think. I mean come on .. even on TV in the US you still hear "have you hugged a child today?".

Basically here are some the BEST lessons I learned through my years in school:

1. Life isn't fair
2. Bigger kids can kick my ass
3. There are always ways to get them back
4. I will be or am bigger than others and can and SHOULD be the ass-kicker too sometimes
5. Change is good
6. Everyone thinks they are wierd


Past that its all easy. Sadly, I feel as though school systems and parents today want to protect children from learning these lessons .. which of course means they will simply learn the lessons later in life, which is a shame. But there are solutions for that I suppose these days too .. anti-depressants, a million treament centers and jails.
