Why don't you just reboot your computer?

Please, for everyone's good, don't go to the Geek Squad (I mean, I know you weren't considering it too seriously to begin with, but for emphasis...). I don't know what to do about your computer, but this is my advice.

Ok. So it boots up fine, and it reads the CD, and it wants you to press a button so it can run the CD? Well, your problem is probably the PS2 slot. Some motherboards won't run without passing the keyboard check. Now, that's built right into the motherboard, so I don't know if you can fix that. If you did get the keyboard to work, it seems like you have a corrupt boot sector. Which is easy to fix, either be re-installing windows or just doing it from the windows recovery console off of the CD.

So, either try a few different keyboards, or see if you can somehow get it to recognize the USB mouse. Other than that, getting a new comp would be the solution. Although I realize that's unrealistic for you.
