Job Interview tomorrow

Not really nervous, I should get this job easily. It's to be a waiter in an upmarket restaurant.

I like my current job and all (Nightclub floor staff and bar-backing staff) but the hours are horrible, I'm working friday-sunday from 10pm - 3am. Hopefully with the new job I can get better hours to suit me for when I go to university.

That and the tips, I want the tips.

Also I want to be away from assholes in a nightclub who think they can do whatever they want.

Funny note: I've never gotten a job through a one on one interview. I've had about 5 one on one interviews and never got any of the jobs.

My first job as a Sales assistant was from a group interview. Second one was a switchboard operater for a newspaper, got that because my sister recommended me and I got the job without an interview.

The nightclub job was because my friend gave me her boss' number, I called, asked for a job, was asked "how did you get this number", charmed my way into saying I was perfect for a job and got one without an interview.

So, wish me luck here. I might break the bad luck haha.

Try cooking seafood for 12 hours a day. Thats what i do 6 days a week and im a **** up. Good luck.

Good Luck. If you already know you'll get it easy then keep that attitude. The only problem is there's a fine line between sounding experienced and sounding up yourself.

Hah, i just had a job interview yesterday at Best Buy for the ipod and audio device section. Supposed to be hearing back from them on Friday. Anyways good luck i'm sure you'll get it. Since your not nervous it is beetter then you can actually answer their stupid questions properly, unlike me i was nervous as hell haha.

Sounds farfetched but I think I'm pretty strong for a girl, and my cousin said it was kinda fun.

Kinda more of a dream than anything :\

Working at a nightclub isn't really that difficult.

As floor staff - collect glasses, clean ashtrays, keep the club tidy.

As bar back - keep all fridges stocked, keep re-stocking glasses (lifting heavy crates of about 100 glasses), re-filling kegs (lifting heavy kegs), etc.

If you want to work at one just stick to floor staff, unless you can somehow get bar staff experience.

first things first. Most Bouncers (the correct term) have experience in law enforcment, security, or prison. Second, its almost obligatory that you have a mustash to be a Bouncer. Third, most bouncers are over 6ft, and over 200 pounds. Mainly because the most problematic are the pompus preppy people at 6ft 150.

So unless you're willing to be Big Mama, and become a weightliftimg prison lesbian, bouncer future is nil.

So, didn't get the waiters job, but I did get a job...

Story:

Was going great, got to talking about some of my CV, asked me about computers (was one of my "hobbies"). From that it got to how I like maths and computing, that went to him saying they have a more exclusive job going as a Cashier, showing me what I'd be doing, then giving me the job on the spot.

Add to that I then started work for training the same day today from 5pm - 8:30pm and was told I did awesome, so I have a couple of days to prove it doing it on my own, Monday and Wednesday. He said if I do good enough then he'll do what I asked which is to give me enough hours to be able to quit my nightclub job. I'll be getting 20 hours a week, which will also be accomodated around university when I go there.

Damn, this job wants me haha.

Pretty much went better than expected.
