There is a cure for AIDS. The fact of the matter is, if it went in the market, all the companies that profit from people's sexual...endeavors...will fall. I feel the same with alot of these "incurable" diseases.

EDIT: Just saw the poll question. If there is a cure for AIDS (which I believe there is), it''s good for us (especially Africa), and bad for the companies that profit from it.

i also believe theres already a cure for AIDS, its just not ready to hit the market quite yet, and it probly only works to a certain extent right now, but if and when a full cure does come out for AIDS, it is going to be EXTREMELY expensive, like cancer treatments are, your not going to just go on down to the drug store and spend 50 bucks on some vitamins and your cured, so either way, your not going to be able to go and live out your "sexual fantasies" without taking caution anyway, or youll be so horribly in debt with medical bills youll wish that the AIDS would just kill you anyway lollers /rantrantrant

This is the worst piece of conspiracy crap I've ever heard. If there were any hint of a drug that could possibly cure AIDS, it would be all over the news and the world as the savior of millions of lives every year. Whoever develops the cure will rapidly become the richest man in the world, and NOBODY would prevent that from happening. Also, what companies profit from people having AIDS? How is that tied to sexual endeavors? You think people will stop having sex? If one company who already produces an AIDS treatment would be put out by a cure, what could they even do to prevent the cure from getting out? Furthermore, what shred of evidence do you have to support your claim? That's right, zero. That's nothing but a conspiracy, and a bad one at that.

Wrong. Every new cancer drug and AIDS possible-cures hit the media like a ton of bricks. I've heard of dozens of new drugs that come out which supposedly destroy tumors, yet cancer's still around and no news on decreases in mortality rates. I guarantee you that we would hear about it before it's even approved and again after it's approved. The whole world is clawing at science's door trying to get whatever it can in the way of an AIDS cure, so we're incredibly ready for it.

Again, there's ZERO reason for it to be withheld.

Except salvia divinorum, unfortunately. Even though it's legal, it's positive effects on AIDS patients will probably never become mainstream knowledge because the media/government doesn't want people to realize that a recreation drug might be (GASP) beneficial.

funny how synthetic oil was invented in the early 1900's, but the idea of having a better, longer lasting, and cheaper oil alternative (during a big oil boom) didnt take off until nearly 1950...ever hear of a guy named Tesla? hmmm guess who invented perpetual energy?, he could walk into his room with a light bulb in his hand and have it light up, he made a device that could eternally power his car, no fuel needed, funny how none of the technology he invented ever made it to the market huh...corporations will do ANYTHING to make a penny...

I'd wager that his perpetual energy machines didn't get built because, you know, they're impossible to build, not because corporations somehow put him down.

You also still haven't answered my question about HOW one corporation could prevent another from releasing the greatest medical advancement in recent history and keep it silent.

People catch it and its not there fault, I mean with rape and such. There was even a story in my local news of a woman having sex with as many men and women as she could with the intent of spreading the virus, mean psycho bitch like, she couldn't accept she had it and was typed as a dirty dirty whore. So yea a cure would be good I think but at the same time it could be bad as it gives another cause to not needing projection.
