All of these are IMO

Good thing : those who get it from someone without knowing it and don't really deserve it can be cured.

Bad thing : People might start doing some nasty, nasty "stuff" without thinking of the consequences just because they think it's safe that there's a cure for AIDs, and could possibly bring about something worse than any kind of STD known to date.

I honestly think that if you did something really deserving to get AIDs (not along the lines of karma but sexual) you should live with it.

In my opinion, a cure for aids would be a good thing. There's nothing wrong with doing sexual activities, so if someone got AIDS from them, how exactly are they deserving it? I mean, is there something horribly wrong with doing sexual things? I don't quite follow.

Goodness, don't get so mad about asking about something that seems impossible. . .

Morals and politics aside, a cure would save lives and remove one more huge disease factor, so of course it would be good.

Morals not aside, if someone does sexual activities that happen to be wrong, I have faith it would come back to them in their conscience or with their relationships anyway.

Okay let me explain some more

There is nothing wrong with sex.

but there may be some jacakss out there somewhere who thinks that since there is a cure that he or she is entitled to live out some incredibly strange sexual fantasy that they might not have wanted to do until now and in the process may contract some wierd virus. That's all I was saying.

Well, people can get tested. The only difference it would make, is that it would make people not fear the disease as much. But there are still going to be people that will not want to get AIDS even if there is a cure, because obviously there are things like the cost of the meds.

I doubt there are many people who are abstaining from carrying out their sexual fantasies just because there's no cure for AIDS. Especially since there are other deadly and much more painful diseases to be caught.

Yeah, 'cause everyone who you personally percieve as "bad" is clearly a bad person by nature who deserves death! Undoubtably!!

Nothing wrong with that, we have sexual desires for a reason. If someone wants to do something "sick" that doesn't hurt anybody else, why stop them?

Then we'd probably run into it sooner or later anyway. There's medical research for a reason. There's an equally good chance someone could discover a mild disease that has a positive impact on medical research. People explore, people learn.
