We can dream, but thats very unlikely.
Although a different topic, this is kind of like the O.J. Simpson case, where the superior lawyer won (or so people say, whatever, I'm sure you get my point)
The sheer amount of money required to get this kid to win the case would simply not be worth it.

I don't think that they will have trouble with finding people to help them out financially. Hell, I wouldn't be suprised if Lowtax started a drive to help pay for this kid's legal fees. He's got most of the internet behind him, and his father understands if he wins, the reward will be pretty huge.

Because of fan-support, eBaum's World--unfortunately--has original content and content allowed for use on that site by the creators. That, my friends, sucks.
Of course, eBaum's also has enough active stolen content to really cripple his site. His site started out as a site that hosted stolen content and will always be a site with stolen content. It's wrong when authors are not credited for their work and the person hosting the site profits from it, therefore eBaum's World is a flaming pile if failure.
I'm quite suprised this is the first time he's being sued. It's a known fact he has stolen content and it's quite obvious he is a liar.Comment

People have threatened to sue, but have backed off because they didn't really have a way to prove it.
There is concrete proof of a copyright violation going on in this case.
