It's not that ebaums is stealing, so much as that he removes their watermarks and identification tags and puts his own on there, has pop-ups and pop-unders, and has enough money so that anyone that tries to get their stuff back will be drained in small claims court (his father is his lawyer; what a cool kid). He makes over $2,000,000 annually because he steals others works and then advertisers pay, whereas someone that downloads music, the person they download from isn't getting a penny...

So there goes your arguement.

Okay, lets go on a crusade to stop EVERY SINGLE WEBSITE THAT DOES THIS.

Regardless of what you want to see, if you are doing jsutice, it has to be done with all, and it sure as hell isn't.

Also, what about the websites people dl the music from?

I understand what you guys are getting at, but the fact you all only aim this at ebaums just sickens me.

Maybe before you publicly proclaim your hatred of the United States, you should actually see how the case ends up? Besides, when it comes to fraud and unfair legal decisions/structures, there is much, much, worse out there in the world.

Ebaums is far more popular than any other site, and most sites who do the same thing are so obscure or unknown that it doesn't really cause a dent in the internet.

Look at the Michael Jackson case. He got away with it, but it was huge.

A regular guy who would get accused of the same thing would get no press, but get banged up as he had no money to get off.

Who do we talk about more. Faceless guy or Michael Jackson?

The websites people download stuff from, look again recently at how Piratebay got raided and taken down for a few days but got away with their charges.

Seriously man, stop posting and think for a minute. The only reason we are aiming this at ebuams is because ebuams is getting sued. If it was FFR getting sued we'd be talking about FFR. If it was this or that we'd be talking about this or that.

There's been a whole thread based around an argument about my loathing of the US before, and we're not getting into this again. In short, just because there are plenty of worse places doesn't in any way make this place good.

Seriously, as much as I think that one man deserves as much credit as the next, Bauman will probably come out on top of this case. Providing that Alan Becker plays his cards right he may have a shot at winning a court case over Baumans' company. Let alone, stealing original work is discredit to the author and the violator(s) are subject to trial. That said, if Alan loses the case, we, the community, should act for him. Any ideas?

Why do you think it's a bandwagon? For ****s sake do you even know the history of why most of the internet hates ebaum? From the SA thread to Ebaum DDOS attacking Something Awful (the Ebaum administration did this) to most of the internet's big communites invading Ebaums world in retaliation?

hey onoz I just randomly found another website that has a ton of games, with no credit to the creator, videos I've seen in other places. Oh, the website has a copyright, they stole it all, lets sue.

Well Ebaum is a pretty big website and if he loses the case the other websites who are doing the same thing might start to think "Oh no maybe I'll be forced to take the consequences for this if I continue, better stop"
