    Photography

Reposted here because no one ever goes in the art forum.

I took these picutres with a 35mm film camera, developed the film myself, made the prints in the darkroom, etc. I scanned them in so some of the blemishes you may see are from the scanner (you can see a repeated dark spot in the top center of each print - its from the scanner) -- the prints look 100x better in person. Also I cropped the so if you see a white or gray or whatever trim around the print, it's fine. - the borders are even in person, I just did a quick crop job in Photoshop.

    Tree Stump of emotionz

    Tractor Tire

Shaggy Dog with a Diffusion technique used in the darkroom (makes the print look softer)

[2] Shaggy Dog with Solarization technique used in the darkroom (exposing the print while developing)

    Ocean

    Negative Print (darkroom technique)

    Acorns

There are some more that I might scan in later and post or something..I'm just too lazy to put all of them up

Feel free to comment/post your pictures (digital or film whatever)/discuss techniques or camera, etc.

Ocean one is the only one I like, others are just average.

Shaggy dog one is messed up though.

Well technically it is supposed to be "messed up" because you're not suppose to expose the photo paper before you develop it...but that's the whole technique.

One more I forgot I scanned:

I like the first dog picture the best.

              Any that aren't black/white?

              Nice job though!

                  I like the acorns one.

This is resized from it being a lot bigger/better. I saw them and was like "oh that's pretty", so i took a picture of it. I haven't really gone out and done much more photography but..it will be soon.

They all seem pretty bland to me, and angles you used are very boring for the most part and since you took pictures of everyday things they just come off as being very average photographs.

And your acorn negative looks dusty.

I'm going to takea bunch of pictures with my cheapo ownage digital camera this summer.

Off center some stuff, man! Make the eyes move around a bit and your photos can improve tenfold from what looks like a good basis.
I like the idea of solarization, but the second time you used it on the dog, the image burned too much. Looked as if the dog had a ghost on its head ><

Overall I'm not a photography fan, but it looks like you're off to a good start

I'm not one for film photography. I'm into the digital aspects, but i think the dog photos would look very cool in college because the background was blending into the dog. either make it all color, or just the background color and dog stays the same.

the ocean one, i thought would work with color since you were going for a sunset look, water looks like it would have some vast detail in color.

is it possible to put film stuff in photoshop or do you think scanners have done enough.

i like the acorn photo. it was perfect. if cropped you wouldnt see the "dust" that people were talking about.
many people have cool signatures, but I'm not really sure what to write here.
