@Shashakiro: I was always advised that taking a year off was not a great idea. Harder to get scholarships when you're not fresh out of high school.
To add something else to that, I would recommend at least going part time. One of my friends is doing that right now. He is commuting to a community college and still working close to 40 hours a week. I wouldn't just completely take an entire year off. Even taking ONE class helps out, but two shouldn't be bad at all. Maybe you could go a quarter/semester and then take the other half of the year off.
Also, it would probably get really boring after a while, with nothing to do except work.
The secret to your future lies hidden in your daily routine.
The reason most people fail instead of succeed is that they trade what they want most for what they want at the moment.
It's actually a little different...I'm accepted to two colleges that I really like and I don't really care which one I go to. For one I'm accepted for next year, and for the other I'm accepted for fall 2007--so that's the deciding factor, and I still can't really decide...so many pros + cons to think about. I'll have to decide soon anyway, though.

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
