If you are, just stop. They're not going to change, so you have to if you want to stay in the band. Make them like you.

It's not like that in middle school. From what I remember, lots of people just hate you for no reason. So he may not even be doing anything wrong.

I say completely ignore them. Completely. Nothing pisses people off more than when they try to get a negative response from you and end up getting shrugged off. Eventually they'll just give up trying to screw with you and hate you behind your back, which is absolutely fine in my opinion.

Don't listen to these people. They talk a lot of shit on the internet, but in real life I seriously doubt that either 1) They've had problems with people hating them randomly or 2) They've ever dealt with the problems like they're telling you to right now. The 99% effective solution to make people leave you alone is to IGNORE THE HELL OUT OF THEM. Do not say a word to them. Most of the time, people bother other people in order to illicit a reaction. When people fail to get a reaction, they get bored with bothering the person.

Also, not responding is an act of self discipline and will help you focus and concentrate. Part of not reacting will be to not let yourself get worked up, and eventually whatever they're doing/saying to you won't even phase you anymore, so you won't be out of focus when you're doing your band stuff.

However, as Mindfields said, if worse comes to worse, do not throw the first punch. Defense is easier than offense, and usually gets you in less trouble. Also, having friends around to back you up will help if there is a fight, but more importantly, it will make people think twice about even approaching you.

But seriously, ignore people. Imagine if you walked up and tried to talk to somebody and they just didn't respond at all. You'd probably walk away frustrated. It's the simplest and most frustrating thing you can do to people who harass you.

Damn, I was going to post the exact same topic, almost word for word:

I'm in FFR forum and all, and I am a member. A TON of people in the forum seem to have a problem with me. Mostly the elitists (Mead, Tokz, EB, ect.)

Should I just take the (#$% they throw at me. Like trying to persuade admins into banning me because, "I'm a dumbass". Or should I just screw it and just leave the forum next year?

I've run into a few skirmishes with some people in the forum. Like arguments that seem to make me pissed off beyond all measures. And to top that off, the GARBAGE BIN hates me. It screws over my concentration with the forum and causes me to go into a pissed off stupour(sp?) which results in me looking really stupid.

I love being in the forum, it's just dealing with all that (#$% tends to make me hate it.

So all in all, should I quit, stick it out, what?

Any advice that would help would be greatly appreciated.

And Tokz is right. In fact, if there is anyone that will talk to you, when someone tries to piss you off, start a conversation with that person who will talk to you. I tried that to someone, and it worked like a charm and I do it more often now. It's awsome

I think you're a fine member and I didn't really understand why people who have hardly been here long enough (mead and Tokzic for example) were on your back so much. I lost respect for them because they were being really fucking annoying when they were flaming you so much for no reason. Usually I can tell when someone's going to be a really annoying member but I never saw that in you.

I've gone through what Tonberry's going through. Like it's been said before, don't react to what they say. That's exactly what they're looking for. Also, don't quit just because of what they're doing. That's giving up and letting them win. That'll only encourage them to find new ways to harass you.
