    Hamachi (LAN over IP)

I hope the title was catchy enough, because this is important.

Wanna have an endless LAN party with all the FFR members invited? We can, just without the personal experience of it all. Found this program known as "Hamachi" which creates a LAN over the Internet.

When I say "LAN", I mean it really acts as if it were a LAN. You can play LAN games over the Internet, you can share files, etc. It really is exactly what a LAN would be if we were all in one room.

I considered not releasing the network group name and password, but I figure I can just delete anyone who abuses this. Or, I can turn it over to LD or someone else if they care enough. Anyway, I made a group for us all.

Group: FlashFlashRevolution (FFR was too small...)
    Pass: thewerewolfgame

Join in and see what it's all about.

I think I knew about this for awhile, but never used it, anyways the only problem I see with it is that you can't restrict what people download. They can just browse your whole computer and download everything.

    p.s. nevermind

That's why people should ask first, then take things. Otherwise it'll lag like whoa. No reply after 5 minutes will mean they're AFK or something, so just do it.

So what game? Can this do games like O2Jam or maybe even Unreal Tournament 2K4 perhaps?

It works on any game that has a lan option.

Could we hook up XBoxes and do an LAN thing with that, by chance?

P.S.: Yes I know about XBox Live, but mine's expiring soon, shut up.

Ask questions, get answers and share your knowledge about Hamachi with other users

                And in another thread:

Theres a program for XBOX called Evolution Kai, basically a tunneling program to allow xbox players to play online thru Xlink or LAN games. If hamachi had a central hub where people could make on the fly channels or networks (whatever) they could create, and have people join then after games channel would dissapear.

This would fix the problem of max 16 players (with all players not even playing at the time, just registered).

                Just my 2 cents. Thanks!

                      Lol guys, guess what?

My school server forbids it. Wonderfuckingful.
This is starting to really piss me off. No IRC, no FFRRadio, no addictinggames.com.

                      Jesus Christ.....

I'd help you and find one of them "screw filters" websites that let you browse sites through them, but I've never bothered to look for one because I don't visit sites that get blocked.

If I have folders set to all-access permisison, people can't change the stuff in them, right?

Because I leave them like that for my own uses (only the ones I share on my network, obviously), and i don't want people screwing with my stuff. I don't care if people download stuff, though. I've got every South Park and Family Guy episode, and ~10 gigs of music.

Oh yeah, I know a bunch, but most of them are blocked too. The ones that work are ridiculusly slow, and don't allow java and stuff.

I managed to get on the site and download (5kbs yay) it, but it can't connect to the internet. I'm trying to solve this problem, I found a program that looks promising.....
