What I'd like to do in the self-checout is to check out three quartes of my stuff,
but look like i'm having a real hard time with it, so the lady that stands there
doesn't feel like she needs to check my recipt.

I have a question for all you Self-Checkout Supermasters. What do you do if the item you buy is too light for the scale to register it?

I've only had one experience with a self-checkout on my own, and it was in a stinkin' Michael's Arts & Crafts store, just buying a little zipper that weighed practically nothing. I scanned the thing and put it in the bag, like the creepy robot lady told me to do. Then... nothing happened. I started getting a little confused, since the zipper didn't seem to be registering on the scale... I wasn't sure what to do (angering the man behind me, which was scary since I really wasn't holding up the line for very long at all).

I got through okay in the end, but I was worried I might have done it incorrectly and went over the receipt to make sure I wasn't stealing by accident.

We don't have any Farmer Jacks here, and the only self-checkout I've seen is at Home Depot. Maybe I just don't get out much?

Well at my Farmer Jack, the U-scan scales are SO sensitive. I had to buy a folder for school and it registered that no problem. Perhaps you should've not put the zipper thing in the bag, but just rest it on its side on the scale, then, after your order was done, put it in a bag.

I've actually been behind someone who was bitching about 1.40 for a sale. I knew I had that exact change in my pocket. So I handed it to them, told them I was in a hurry, and that they should just move along. They did. And I got my smokes.
