    Firefox 1.5 RC1

Anyone else using it? I downloaded it earlier today and it seems to be a LOT faster than Firefox 1.0.7. The interface is a bit better too, and it just seems generally more well-rounded and stable.

You can get it here: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/

The only thing that sucks is that you can't use any skins for it.

    I liked my iFox skin.

            yeah, it's not bad.

I haven't noticed an incredible difference in speed but it seems a little faster.

Yea, why would anyone *BUY* anything like that. In my experience with Opera, I have noticed better video playback on websites and I can actually view QT movies without haveing to get "Alternate Quicktime"(which never really worked in the first place) or Copying the Link and opeing it in IE. Its shitty when one browser has to come up with a plugin so that you can easily switch to another browser so that you can view a webpage or streaming media.

I have 0 problems streaming media. It isn't rocket science to install a plugin.

After installing QT, and it still not working, I searched google for answers. When a lot of people seemed to have this same problem, the only answer was to turn to the alternate quicktime. Then going into the MIME settings and doing something. After doing all this and it still not working. I said fuck it. Got Opera and have had ZERO problems ever since.

I'm extremely supprised. I don't know why other people do seem to have these troubles with firefox, because it's been nothing but automation for me since .93.

I guess it's all dependent on the system settings of the particular user. Use Opera if you want, but just remember that Firefox has been downloaded over 100 Million times in the past year (That does NOT count downloads from the firefox user agent) and has been voted the best browser by CNET. Use what you want, but i'm defending my fox.

I have that exact same Quicktime problem. I still use Firefox though... I don't need QT often enough for it to be a vital part of my web-browsing experience. It's annoying sometimes, though.
