I spent zero hours, count them zero hours studying for them
all scores above 23, the average scores for an act being 18-22, the highest being 32. Now I'm not a, "i NEED HIGH SCORES" kinda person, but 18-22 gets you in almost any college, the ivy leagues demand higher scores and good grades.
I'm not gonna go to yale for cullinary arts thank you very much
if you spent time studying and have passed 9th grade, you'll do fine
EDIT: have fun with flash while figuring out what your score means.
I took the SAT when I was in 8th grade and got a 1410 without studying (except on how to answer Qs and crap)
800 in math too, thus proving that the SATs=nothing
supposedly they're hard now, but I think that adding an essay just makes it easier - its like instant points

I enjoyed the ACT's...I think I got a 29 overall. Just because I got a 25 on Math (which is ironic because Math was probably my best subject) because I paced myself very very poorly, and had about 5 questions not filled out....I'm confident I could have gotten a 31 overall had i retaken it...but any college i was interested in going to, a 29 was plenty good.
I'll trade you this delicious doorstop for your crummy old danish.
Done, and done.
dontcareaboutmyid, you might want to research colleges a bit before you say that.
I've been preparing for both the ACTs and SATs since the middle of summer. I've taken over two dozen practice tests of each. My average SAT score is ~2100-2200, my average ACT score is ~30-32 (and they're out of 36, not 32).
The thing is, I don't have the grades to get me into an exemplary school- I'm around a 3.6 right now, which, sadly enough, is just over the 50th percentile in my school (fucking suburban school system. At a 3.75, I was hitting 62% mark). So I'm hoping to get really outstanding test scores to somewhat make up for that.
EDIT: Almost forgot. For all who are wondering, I think I did pretty well on my ACT this morning. Grammar and reading were piss easy, science was challenging in a couple sections...one really bitchy genetics portion...then math was a toss up. But I nailed the essay, so that's cheering me up a bit.
Anti....If you end up getting a 30+ you will have a big advantage when applying to college. I'm assuming your a senior so it will be harder to raise the 3.6 back to a 3.75, but even if you don't it will still look good to most colleges. Honor Roll + 30+ACT= Scholarship
there are plenty of scholarships out there, you just have to look. Plus your counselor should give you information about a lot of them. If people at your school actually got a 35/honor roll status and couldnt' get any kind of scholarship, then they probably didn't try to any.
