Yesterday, my cousin, who might I mention is 15, called her mom to tell her that she would be on her way home shortly, she was staying after school to catch up on something with a friend, and they were getting a ride from her mom.
Later in the day, my cousin called her mom again to tell her that her ride had not shown and that her and her friend were going to walk home. It's suspected that she walked her friend to her house, and then continue on to walk home.
When her mother got home, her daughters purse and cell phone were scattered on the counter, and a chair was knocked over. She searched the house but couldn't find her, so she called the friends house, who said she had not spoken to her since earlier that day. She waited a couple of hours making numerous phone calls and contacting as many school and work relations as she could, until she finally called the police.
It's been almost 24 hours. Her name is Keirsten, and the police have written it down as a kidnapping. I'm from Richmond, VA, as she is. There have been flyers posted throughout the city and the family is working with a large group of agents on search parties.
It's only been a day, and there's not much we can do about it now. I'm pretty sure it will hit the news tonight, to further the search and give a face. I'm not one for prayer, but if you could keep her in your thoughts and give any advice, or information, I would really appreciate it.
It's only been a day, so I don't expect mass development, but I hope that it is over with soon, and that she returns with the least of harm.
Thanks for reading,
Skooter
