Come hang out, ap. Or, if, for some odd reason, you go through Waco, go shop with Amanda.

RE: Katrina, part 2
ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS
I checked this morning and it was a weak Catagory 2. Wow, I never wouldv'e expected it to kick up to a Catagory 5 already. Now I'm going to be glued to this hurricane until it makes landfall.
EDIT:
It's a nicely shaped storm O_o Which means bad news.

Kansas City seems to be in the projected path =OComment

RE: Katrina, part 2
Yes, this storm is going to tear shit up. It's chilling at 904 mb now which makes it the 5th most powerful storm in history, and it has a temperature differential of 21 degrees celsius. That means that it is incredibly well shaped and will be very resistant to change or weakening due to water temperature.

RE: Katrina, part 2
Below sea level or not, that storm is going to tear people new a**holes. Unless the water is extremely cool along the coast of Texas (which it isn't) that storm is setup to do some of the worst structural damage in history. Realize that Houston is one of the largest cities in the US (#5 or something?).
There is a good chance that it will get even stronger before this weekend.. maybe 180mph? If that sucker gets down to 890 mb, it will be the most powerful on record.
Cheers,

My parents' house is in Katy and there's a chance it might get completely destroyedOriginally posted by RainGame53i live in katy ( just past houston from the ocean). should i get outta here?
With the temperature differential there's a chance it could sustain winds well over 180mph if the conditions are perfect. I really, really hope the pressure doesn't start getting much lower than 904 mb, although the most severe hurricane ever (Gilbert) had a pressure of 888mb.Originally posted by SynthlightThere is a good chance that it will get even stronger before this weekend.. maybe 180mph? conditions are reportedly only going to be "perfect" for another day or so... I think this will weaken considerably to a cat 4 (like Katrina) before it makes landfall. If you read weather.com's article on it there's alot more specific details and whatnot.Comment
