I had a link to an assembly site... lemme see if I can find it. This was two years ago mind you...

Oh, that guest double post was me, by the way. I also made a pretty cool arcade style game like the one mentioned last page, it was a circle and it had to collect periods, and of course there were obstacles, and your score depended on how fast you did it. It was actually pretty fun because the program ran so slowly that you could get the best possible score after a fair amount of practice. I think I had about 8 levels or so, incorporating warps and moving obstacles...and one which incorporated a bad guy chasing you. I'd never do that again though, took so long. Makes you appreciate OO though, for real.I'll trade you this delicious doorstop for your crummy old danish.

I, too, only know how to program stuff on my TI-83+, though I have done some pretty neat things.
I've programmed a few games, a paint-esque program complete with filters, which actually create some neat effects, math programs that create both visual and non-visual answers, namely a program for Quadratic Equations that have complex answers.

I know it's not considered actual "programming.' I still enjoy it though. I just need to learn flash programming so that I can actually make movies and stuff like they do on newgrounds.Comment

I took C++ last year and am taking AP Comp Sci this year, though I like C++ much better. Now I started to teach myself OpenGL but then decided to try to learn DirectX instead but all I can do so far is just draw colored triangles on the screen.Comment

Re: You guys program?
I have been working with Java 1.5 for several months now, but not quite a full year. I am currently doing some various, small time projects, but nothing fancy. Also, I have been working with basic HTML for a few years, but, like my Java code, it is fairly sloppy. I used to know some basic CSS, but I haven't used it in more than a year and could probably use a refresher.
Basically, I just program and upkeep a website as hobbies. Nothing real serious.

Re: You guys program?
Im taking a high school AP Computer Science A course, so I'm just learning the aspects of Java. I've taken C++, Visual Basic and an HTML course, so I'm a little familiar with it. I really want to learn to develop minor video games with Java coding, and hopefully expand to complex ones, even land a job in the video gaming developing industry, but I'm a LONG way from that goal. lol, so it's simply a small time hobby.Comment
