    RE: Re: Soccer

Nice Skik, you have any colleges looking at you right now, D1 I assume?

Vash, fun? What is your time schedule for your practices? We have 9-11 and 12-2, all in 90+ degree temp, and it's not fun. We already have had a kid have a heat stroke this week. Though, I love football, so it doens't matter.

      RE: Re: Soccer

TPS, because I'm going into my Junior Year of High School, this will be the first year a college can legally contact me. I have, however, been approached at tournaments by schools like West Virginia University, William and Mary, and West Point. They couldn't legally offer me anything, but did say that I should expect to hear from them soon.

As well as those schools, I expect to be contacted by numerous other schools with offers. Not necessarily 100% scholarships, because those are rare, but some sort of offer. And yes, I prefer to go to a D 1 school. But, I won't limit myself to D 1. I will of course keep looking at D 2 and D 3 schools.

I have a couple years to go before I need to make any definite decisions. I have to also keep in mind that my grades aren't exactly at a 4.0 By the end of my junior year I expect to have about a 3.0. By the end of my senior year I expect a 3.5.

Also, the old SAT is no longer in use, so I'm currently taking SAT II prep-classes.

And even ODP is overrated. You should check out Reston FC. That's another place I play. And Team America Premier. (Both are Region 1, if you know what that is)
Ok, so you must be pretty good. I'm not amazing, but I would consider myself well above average. Last season (spring 05) I played up a year on a u18 team and we did pretty well in the u19 travel division. We were the division champs with the fewest goals allowed, which I thought impressive because I'm a defender.

Meh, I only play soccer because that is the sport that I'm best at. If i wasn't playing soccer, football is the next sport that I would play.

That's good man. Keep playing Soccer, no matter what level you play at. After all, it's the love of the sport that matters, right? I'm just fortunate to have gotten as good as I am. I'll see if I can find a picture of me during a game or something.

Oh, by the way, I'm a keeper. (Goalie)

Its not that i don't love soccer, I really do. I mean, I play and I ref it. Playing is much more fun than reffing, but reffing is really good money and its helping something that I really like doing.

                I wasn't assuming you didn't love Soccer.

And Btw, I had no idea reffing Soccer was good money. Last time I checked, it's only paying about 50$ A game.

I still play soccer. I'm a striker. I can hit the ball pretty damn hard with good accuracy.

I'm Class 1 which is ok, playing in Bay Area California. It's very competitive especially in SoCal. My varsity coach just goes for the players with most talent as it should be.

Of course, a coach should always pick the best. That's how teams suceed.

That's how it was when I tried out for Pony Leage Baseball. They have tryouts and I didn't make the team. So I left them and went to Bay Area Texas Baseball which is near Ellington Air Force Base. They have no tryouts which explain why I have been wiith BATB

That's pretty good, isn't it? I mean, I would consider that pretty good money. $50 for an hour's work? (I assume that you're reffing the youth soccer league, where the games last for an hour/hour and a half.)

Anyway, I played in the city youth soccer league for about... oh... five or six years, until about three years ago. Then I got involved in a bunch of school clubs and stuff; oh well. Fullback. I'm not amazing, but I win most skirmishes.
