Well, I have tryouts for the varsity soccer team for my school today.

I'm good enough to play on the team, I was playing with the equivalent of our varsity team over the spring, but the coach likes to have more younger and not as skilled players than the older and expierenced players.

That is the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Why not just get all the handicapped kids and have them play if you want crappy players on a VARSITY team.

I have varsity soccer 2-a-day practices starting today, and I will only be able to make one of them because of my job. It'd be a miracle if I make the team at this rate, adding the fact that I never, ever practice as good as I play in a game.

Juist got back from the first one, and from the looks of it, I have a good chance of making it [varsity]. The coach only brought up 3 sophmores (sp) and I'd say that i'm better that all but maby 1 or 2 juniors.

the coach likes to bring up freshmen/sophmores (sp) just so that every year there are a few people who played in the same competition level before. I don't really like the fact that he does it, but the team has been state-worthy/really good for a while so I guess he is just trying to keep an overall above average team instead of a really good team one year and a bad one the next.

On the subect of handicapped people playing sports, there was a picture of a girl in my Spanish textbook in a wheelchair playing Tennis. I was like wtf.

Just got back from the second practice, too tired to do pretty much anything.

Around here, soccer is very competative (sp). We have cross town rivals who are usually very good. Not to mention the 5/6 other good schools in the area.

Really? I live in Northern VA... Soccer is extremely competitive around here. My school plays against about 12 Different schools. I'm saying it isn't competitive as in, the skill level isn't very high in High School Soccer.

ODP is where all the good people play other then Varsity. Premier leagues as well. I'm not very good at soccer myself, that, and I love football. I think I will stay with that and baseball, good luck to you Pyscho.

And even ODP is overrated. You should check out Reston FC. That's another place I play. And Team America Premier. (Both are Region 1, if you know what that is)
