    FFR RPG

I have heard of the many people who tried of making this FFR RPG, but failed. I am brave enough to challenge the idea. I will be making the FFR RPG game. And of course I will need a bit of help, so if you want to help me, pm me, or contact me on msn at [email protected]

note: this will be a real challenge for me seeing that I don't know how to make a game, so PLEASE help, thank you.

I know that I already posted this before if you already saw it, but I need to have more people know about it.

Stop posting this is many places.

I'll be honest, you won't finish, and no one here will help.

The rules: JurseyRider and I must approve of what you make as a good game.

If we both disagree, you lose.

Also it must be finished and lengthy, not a 5 minute game.

              Simple.

Not only will you never finish, but you don't know ANY of us well enough to incorporate us into any kind of game while matching our personalities at all.

I suggest you create a website. Set specific goals, then go about creating this project. If you are able to demonstrate your ability to lead, organize and have something idealistic enough to be worth dreaming about yet practical enough to actually do, you'll find flocks of people willing to help. If not, then you're just bugging people for no reason.
                      Yay, I have twitter now:

If you're serious about this, may be you should search these forums and find the old RPG thread. I was 100% serious about it, and I would finish it, but uh....college soon, and I posted other reasons in that other thread.

And I'd like to get in on this bet.

Admins: Not asking for it right now, but if we ever get serious about this whole RPG thing, you think maybe we could have a secret forum for people working on the RPG? Prophecy's "you should make a website" made me think of it. Yall could set up a usergroup, and stick whoever is the head of the RPG as the head of it, and as people are accepted to the RPG Dev Team they would be accepted that that group and allowed to see the RPG forum. It could be a hidden forum, or a visible thing so people can see how the RPG is coming (which would encourage us to work faster and show progress) but they can't post anything there unless they're a dev team member.

And no, not asking for it now. Just thought I'd mention it so you can all think about it in case the RPG does get made.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

It's kinda hard for someone that just entered the community to try and create an RPG that bassicly needs to focus on the personalities, likes, and dislikes of the long time vets of this forum. This has already been attempted by 2 forum vets, and what makes you think a total newbie can walk in and complete it? Are you familiiar with RPG creating software? Do you know how to make sprites? Do you have good writing skills for a good storyline? All these things need to be layed out and thought of before you say "Yea, i'm making it".

I really do want to lock this thread, because I know everyone is going to continue to get mad and flame, but if you are serious about this project, please post the software you will be using, how familiar you are with creating sprites, some possible storyline ideas, and also some examples of work you've done in the past.

If you don't have any of these, i'm afraid I can't let the post whoring go on.

Well, he's already said that he doesn't have any experience. Basically all he's offering is to lead/organize. I'll help, but I'm not going to really sign on or do any work until you get it fully organized, and get enough people who are willing to help. Like I said before, I think you might be better off waiting for someone else to attempt this, and then offering your help to them. Anyways, do you have any skills at all which could be used?
I'll trade you this delicious doorstop for your crummy old danish.
                            Done, and done.

Guys, the real thread is in the Garbage Bin, where everything actually gets done. eb has said he'll start back up again if he has help. I think that's a much better idea. furry_dude, you can help if you want, but I doubted from the start you would be our leader in this thing.
