FFR and other Flash are raw processing processing, so it has to be the processor problem. However fast you think they are, they aren't fast enough for FFR.

The only other thing I can think of is you have a ton of processes already open, and CounterStrike is able to overcome them because of your video card. Try gutting your process tree except for the essentials. Then try playing FFR. If it is slow still, well then you need a processor upgrade.

Here is a process tree of the essentials. Some of them could be cleaned up more, but that gets into the tedious stuff. If this doesn't do it, you need a processor upgrade.

Cenright I tried your trick and it didnt work. I have finally come to the conclusion that Internet explorer is not using my dual processor capabilities, so basically i am using a normal pentium III 450 MHz cpu. Thats why my computer keeps lagging. This sucks all that money my dad wasted for nothing. Well almost nothing, at least Autocad works with two processers but thats useless to me.
        Life sucks.

Dual Processing has so many more useful options, but with such slow processors as 450mHz P3's, they are just too slow. Most people dual processor P4 3.0GHz processors, and I've heard some wonderful results come out of those.
If you really want a good computer, don't spend a buttload of money on it. Something like mine would even suffice you for a lot of things. Which is..
          AMD Athlon 2800+ 64-bit
          1024 of PC3200 DDR Ram
          64MB Geforce 4 MX420 Video Card
          ASUS K8N Motherboard
Built-In Sound (RC97 Realtek or something like that, it has surround sound abilities).

You really don't even need that. My comp:

AMD Athlon XP 2600+ slightly oc'ed
            512 of PC3200
            128mb Radeon 9600
            ABIT NF7-S mobo
            80 gig samsung SATA

It's about 6 months old, and it still runs incredibly fast. I couldn't be happier. Best part? The computer itself (minus the monitor, speakers, etc) was around $550. It would be even lower today.

Gaming? 90 fps UT2004 windowed max/high textures on everything kthx.

I had no intention on buying a super expensive computer. My father both this computer just for a test , to see how powerfull computers were at the time, as it turned out we couldnt use the dual cpus because windows 98 and windows Me couldnt handle it. And when windows XP came out the computer was getting old anyways. I am thinking of buying AMD processers for a change I have heard good stuff about them.

AMD and Intel processors have different purposes.
AMD sells you the gaming processor. It has amazing transfer rates and calculation speeds required by 3D games and whatnot.
Intel sells you the office processor. Intel processors are great for office applications, and such like that. They are good gaming processors, but AMD out-performs them in a lot of aspects when it comes to high-performance games.

I personally prefer AMD because of their price. They give you a lot more kick for the price. Since, in theory, an Athlon 3000+ performs slightly better than a P4 3.0, they should be about the same price, right? Nope. The AMD is $50-75 cheaper.

You could always request for a mod to lock it.. But I don't see why you want the thread gone.

I came to the conclusion that my computer is too old and I need to get a new one. There is nothing actually wrong with it. Nobody can help me with that.
So there is nothing to say about the topic anymore.
