So, so true. I suppose I'm still down with a couple of their old songs, but c'mon, American Idiot is one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

Since when is simple bad? Oh, and there are only 4 people in greenday, so having 5 guitarists doesn't quite fit. Agreed that Nimrod is a great CD. Just b/c the music is upfront, and simple in both musical and lyrical terms, doesn't mean that it's good. I don't need all of my music to be riddled with metaphorical bullshit and computer enhanced sounds. I don't need it to tell a story. Of course, I like just about all music as well. But Greenday does what they do very well. I've been a fan since I first listened to Nimrod, and I've loved each CD after that for what it is.

That being said, I like Green Day. I find most of their music pretty enjoyable, and Good Riddance is one of my favorite songs ever.

I'm not a big fan but I do own their Nimrod CD. It's alright. Although I absolutely loathe "Time Of Your Life." I swear to God, it is played at every graduation across the country.

Green Day are awsome. Also just to point it out, they were pretty much the first group to play the type of music they do. Despite its simplistic style it has been copied by many more recently formed bands including Blink 182 and Good Charlotte to name a couple so they can't be all that bad! Further more Billy Joe looks fine for a man of his age so good for them.
Hehe was singing along to 'Time of your life' earlier with one of my housemates, nice coincidence, i think so!
Enjoy the concert, take a disposable camera and post some pictues when you get back!

The actual title of that song is the aforementioned "Good Riddance".

And because everyone plays it at graduation is why we chose "Rainbow Connection" instead.

Green Day isn't that bad. Some of their songs are addictive to listen to (Minority, Holiday) and I like their lead singer. I wouldn't really want to go to a concert though.
