LD- You dgot nothing to worry about, just work swiftly, and read the stories carefully! I got a 930 in 7th grade, partially because of the analogies (yay for higher-level voacabulary, far above that of a 12year old's comprehension) and AFAIK they took that out,

    All that aside,..

    Good Luck!

I got 94%ile of my grade and 76%ile of college bound juniors on the PSAT during my freshman year. To bad that test means absolutely nothing.

That's a horrible score. I have a friend who got a 1380 in 8th grade. I don't think one grade level raises your score 400 points, either.

I do not like SATs. I do not like ACTs. I'll be taking them both next year. I guess I did alright...I got 97th percentile on the PSAT for english, but I absolutely sucked up the math and got like a 78%. Then again, I was sick as hell that day, and ended up just guessing through most of the math because I wanted to get it over with. Either way, I'm going out for National Merit Scholars next year, and my councelor says I have an excellent chance of getting it. PLAN (pre-ACT) went alright as well, 96th percentile overall, but I got raped in the geometry section and somehow got an 82%. 0_o I'll have to work on that, I guess.

That's not horrible for a seventh-grader. Just because your eighth grade friend did better than most high school seniors ever would doesn't mean that's bad for a middle schooler. For the record, I got a 1020 in seventh grade (or a 1080, but I think it was 1020) and a 1200 in eighth, and those were pretty average scores at the smart kids camp to which I went.

            Old SATS > new SATs.

Analogies are fun. Essays are not.

            Scores to beat:
            1460 SAT
            32 ACT

I would have loved to write an essay over doing stupid analogies with words that nobody will ever need to use EVER again.

I had to take the PSAT on the new SAT test and I got a 1990.. as a 10th grader. They said that comes out to be around a 1350 or something on the old SAT.

I'm not going to say whether or not I think 930 is good or not for a 7th grader, I don't know,... but I'll give you an idea as to why I could've gotten such a score. First, I lacked vocabulary, and sure enough we focused on vocabulary from the SAT. AAAAnd even better- I took algebra in 8th grade, which was another of the skills I lacked in 7th grade.

My SAT score was a 1450.

My PSAT from the year before, sadly, was a 1540. Don't know how I got stupider.

Also I took that Calc AB SAT II test and got a 770.
I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.

Well, I've got my PSAT. It sucked.

163 of 240. Multiply that by 10 and you should get what they think I'll get for SAT.

I kinda fell asleep for the first third. Missed a good 10 questions to time.

I bet blahblah has the highest scores on ffr... just a guess though. (I tied guido on ACT btw, and already said what I got on SAT.)

The PSAT was the piss-easiest test I ever took... I think I got something like a 235 on it or something. If that had been my SAT score it would have been a 1570 or something.

Also, as a word of advice, the June tests for both the ACT and SAT are by far the easier tests, but the curve is harder (because less stupid people take them then).
