SAT's get you into Ivy League colleges, such as Harvard and Yale, if I'm not mistaken. ACT's get you into others, like Duke, OK state, MU, etc.

Yes, it's an extremely low score.

Here's the deal: Squeek + 8AM + huge test + played games all night the previous night = 1170.

Not until march I think. I did well on the psats (1280) and I'll be seeing a tutor in the near future to hopefully raise that somewhere in the 1400s

dude... no. Most colleges require either the SAT or the ACT, some require one or the other exclusively. It's not like the SATs get you into better schools or anything.

I got a 1450 first try, 1500 second... kinda lame though, I missed two on math and got a 740, whereas (on a different test) a kid I know missed one and still got an 800. Your score will depend alot on the curve.
