    GET IN THE ZONE.

    AUTO ZONE!

So anyway, I see what you mean, sorta. When I'm REALLY into an FPS game, you'd know it by watching me. FPS games are designed to make you feel like you're the character behind the monitor holding the gun. So, when that really sinks in, you'll think differently about everything.

Instagib CTF works well in this case.

It happens to me all the time. It is extremely wierd.

Maybe it could be a form of meditation?

It happens to me usually the most in
      -Need For Speed Underground 2
      -Live For Speed
      -Starcraft
      -DDR
      -Beatmania
      -Initial D

Pretty much any racing game. Maybe you get in the zone when you are playing a game you are very interested in and is not to difficult? It's kinda like walking up a huge hill. If you play a game or talk the whole way up, it passes by faster. Just one of those wierd unexplainable situations.

Oh, and on the subject of SSBM...

Jigglypuff can beat ANYONE if you know how to use her skills properly. She has the most powerful move in the game, the ability to put opponents to sleep, and a heck of a rolling move. Add that in to the fact that she has the furthest jumping distance and small size, and you can really crush all adversaries.

As for me? I'm a Roy person. He's agile, strong, and the coolest character in the game. If I can't be Roy, I'm Young Link or Fox.

I'm always in the zone with games. I never really think about anything, it just happens. Im naturally good at every game, probably because I started playing when I was 2 and started owning everyone by 3-4.

And I'd argue pikachu being the best. But its more or less about the person behind the character.

And you guys, it's more than just being good at the game or knowing the controls and having to look down at the keyboard (lol @ non-gamers who do that). For me it's like I'm in a dream-like state. What's happening doesn't seem real and I don't even realize half of what's going on yet I'm doing it myself. It's like I've lost control and my subconsious is doing everything for me. There are times when I've done better and not been "in the zone," but the zone is a very cool place.

I think some of you misunderstood what I meant. =\
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Being in the zone is when your unconscious takes over, like auto-hyponosis. I know this because I do hyponosis for migraines. Anyways it happens all day long and you don't notice it. The unconscious mind is a lot more powerful that the conscious mind thats why you might even do better on a game. Theres a lot of different unconscious states, like if you're driving down the highway you could fall into a deeper unconscious state than when playing a game causing you to fall asleep. So that's why you go into the zone.
