I watched the 4.5 minute review video on gamespot. Looks like it deserved about the score it got.

But why Halo 2 scpred better I cannot imagine. -_-

I stopped trusting Gamespot after they gave GTA: SA a 9.9. Oh, and Halo 2 a 9.4. 9.2 is also low, especially considering PCG gave it an unheard of 98%, and they're really the only mag I trust.

It doesn't matter. All HL2 accounts have to be activated via steam before the game can be played, and activation starts tonite at midnight.

Halo 2 beat Half-Life 2 in rank. WHY ARE GAME RATERS SO FREAKIN RETARDED.

How can you even compare these? It's like comparing a flaming pile of dog poop on a doorstep with the mansion of the doorstep it is on. There's no contest. NONE.

PS - I figured it out. Valve didn't pay the raters enough money to give them a 10.0, though they got close to the goal. I hear it shoots up exponentially when you want to get above 9.8

Gamespot underrates games horribly. I've heard a very good theory....Gamespot gives bullshit reviews to get hits to their site. Halo 2 with the whole "OMFG 9.4 WTF OMGOMG MC WILL SLAUGHTER JOO NUBZZzaZ!" thing. Half-Life 2 fanboys were FLIPPING THE FUCK OUT just as much as the Halo 2 people were. And guess who's at the very center, getting all the page hits? Gamespot.

Gave THPS3 a 10 too, so it's basically "OMGWTF They gave that game a 10? *link hurr*" or "OMGWTF They gave this game a 9.2? *link hurr*".

Gamespot is a business, always will be. Corporate fuckheads.
