see now if it was a small red button i wouldn't press it; but size matters; i don't mess with the small stuff; i go for the big and bright; hence the pressing of the red button, by me

I wouldnt push any button unless I know what it does or if it were labeled. If it said "End all humanity" I would hesitate, and then press it. If it said "Candy" I wouldnt hesitate to press it. If it said "Re-elect George W. Bush." I would disable the button.Comment

Well, where am I?
I mean, If I am in an interrogation-type room, I am not pressing any buttons.
Red is a color that the human eye is attracted to, as it is "farthest from the eye". I mean, red seems al officia anyways. How about a calm, relaxing button, like a soft green, or a light blue, or a light purple? Those sound alot less scary, you see. But then, I would only press the button if it were, say, more than an inch in diameter, and about 3/4-1 inch above the surface it is on. Or, if it gave the right feel when you pressed it down...hard to explain, and it makes me sound even more like a fruit if I get descriptive at all, like now.
I guess common sense would keep me from pressing it, then boredom would set in, if there were nothing else to do, and I would press it. Perhaps with an 11-foot pole, and if it didnt have any evil effect, I would press it myself.
Location. Where is this button in the area I am? The celing? Under a safety case? Right in front of me?
Where am I? Am I in a fighter jet? I don't want to eject without the cockpit going up! A reactor? My room? On the keyboard?
I want to know it's effect before I press it.
And, my mood. What is it? Am I bored, mad, sad, happy, thankfull, what? What are the lighting conditions? Has it been overcast all week, or nice and sunny? Is it in Winter or Summer? Am I warm or cold?
there is alot that goes into spontinaity, you know.

prettierer? sounds like a breed of dog.
Anyways, yes Qreepy, this is a VERY big button…not one of those gimpy small ones. And when you press, it makes a very satifying push feeling…just like old arcade games.
And I'm not a psychologist, so I can only assume that your emotions may include boredom.Mediocrity takes a lot less time and most people won\'t notice the difference until it\'s too late. --despair.com/Comment

The old arcade game button's sucked. It needs to light up and when you press it it has to make a noise and it has to be squishy

Red is my favorite color but ................. I can't believe I'm agreeing with Qreepyboris but there are a lot of things that go into whether I push it or not. Like the smell. If it smelled like my brother or monkey turds I wouldn't but there is really no difference between those smells but if it smelled like J-Lo's perfume or wet dogs I would but again there's no difference between those smells either.

If it were a Neon blue button I would be too busy staring at it. I have a weird fascination with the color neon blue. I have two optical Mouses(Mice?) hooked up to my computer because the one that is blue is too small and uncomfortible to use regularly, so I just look at it. Around my computer I have streamed blue lights. I have a bar sign in my room that is blue. My car stereo is backlight with Neon Blue lights (and it has neon blue buttons that I stare at instead watching the road) And I wont buy a cell phone unless it has blue lights on it.
I live for blue lights.Comment
