Your forgetting Princess Mononoke and one of my favorite's My Neighbor Tortoro Oh and the Love Hina manga costs $10.44 each. There are 14 books in the Love Hina saga. You do the math.
The Love Hina anime is a horrible pile of drek. The manga is much better, although still not the greatest thing on Earth.
And Spirited Away is pretty good, but Princess Monoke and Castle in the Sky are much better (all three were directed by Hayao Miyazaki).

No, I'm not forgetting Princess Mononoke. I was just commenting on Jursey, and Spirited away was the only one she mentioned. On top of that, I don't rank Princess Mononoke as high as Spririted Away or Castle in the Sky [Heh, I laugh at that title every time I think of it]. I haven't seen any other Miyazaki/Ghibli movies, but the Lupin the Third movie Castle of Cagliostro is one of my favorite movies ever.
As for Love Hina, that's $113.01 (adjusted for sales tax in Texas) that I don't want to spend.
Download the manga then. I'm sure torrents for it still exist. Probably at suprnova or something.

While I'm at it, I'll be sure to pick up the boxsets for Inuyasha. And shell out 90 bucks for FLCL.
I've only bought one DVD and that was to support it for being my favorite anime of all time. Paid double what I should have, but it was absolutely worth it.
There's a torrent for Inuyasha 1-155 at SN. The file says he can handle the transfer of the 31 gigs.
Manga... it's alright. There are some things in the animated version that you just cannot do in manga. Naruto is awesome in anime and manga, but you notice a substantial difference in action scenes when watching the series. It is 100% adapted from the manga almost word for word so if you're ahead a few volumes (as I am), you know what to expect. Just much cooler.
I agree. FLCL definitely has my vote for best anime of all time. As for manga, I think you have it reversed. There are some things that you can do in manga, that you can't get away with in anime. For example, let's take Love Hina. For those who have read and seen both the manga and the anime know that the manga has material that they would never dream about putting in the anime. That is what makes the manga always better. The only time this isn't true is when its applied to the FLCL manga. I thought it would look just like the manga scenes from the anime but they don't. Which dissapoints me very much. =\
i agree with chromer FLCL has to be the all time greatest anime other then inuyasha what is another great series.. but then again FLCL is only like 8 or 6 episodes long and at the last episode they kinda leave you hangin u know i mean like seriously what happen to the girl? and what happen to the pirate king?
In FLCL they went away never to return. THE END
(what I said allpies to all the characters that you don't see in the last part)
But i agree that Inu-yasha is an okay anime makes me
kinda want to watch the subtitled versions but just
rent the mso if they aren't that good i could just send
them away. but yeah
Anyway, I just hope this ending makes all the Inuyasha hype go away. I thought the show was terrible, and don't want to hear about it again. It just wasn't my thing, and all the fanboy popularity business going around makes it seem like the next crappy kiddie anime.
And yes, I am completely aware that I'm not giving it a chance. I saw two episodes on Cartoon Network and formed my opinions based on that. I'm not questioning its capability of being cool, I'm just stating that I don't care to ever find out.
Emeril says, "BAM!"
I never got what was so great about it. Sure, it has a few moments of what could be coolness, but as far as I'm concerned, it's nothing compared to Outlaw Star.

For being "the all time greatest anime other than inuyasha" you seem to know very little about it. I suggest watching the Non-Cartoon-Network version of the last episode(which is episode 6 by the way)...since it answers all the questions that you have.
FLCL is certainly great. But there is other really good stuff out there. Don't just cling to FLCL mindlessly.
Oh, and all of you need to go watch Alien Nine. It is absolutely fantastic.

I actually bothered to watch an episode of this thing once
The characters and the way they act and perform actions and stuff is just ugh, the stereotypical anime stuff that I can't stand. I watched an episode where he was killing this big snake and it just seemed like a varation of DBZ. I'm not going to spend that much time downloading and watching 150+ episodes of ANYTHING so whatever if the series is good to you then that's great.
I don't watch just FLCL all the time. i've just recently finished up the Maze: Mega Burst Space OVAs and I also finished up Onegai Teacher which as of this moment is my favorite romance anime. Love Hina is second b/c it has comedy in it.
